Fenerbahçe loses to Union SG in UEFA Europa Conference League

Fenerbahçe suffered a disappointing 1-0 defeat at home to Union SG in the UEFA Europa Conference League on Thursday evening. The Turkish giants were outplayed by the Belgian visitors, who took the lead in the first half through a strike from Victor Boniface.
Fenerbahçe had plenty of chances to equalize in the second half, but they were unable to find a way past Union SG's resolute defense. The defeat leaves Fenerbahçe bottom of Group B with zero points from their opening two matches.
Union SG, meanwhile, moved up to second place in the group with four points from their first two games. They will now face Fenerbahçe again in the reverse fixture on September 14.
